ISBR2027 has a date and a home! The 18th ISBR Symposium will take place 3–7 October 2027 at The Trans Resort Bali in Seminyak, Indonesia. Also inside: student scholarships, a reminder to submit session and workshop proposals, and a brief look at the four plenary themes shaping the scientific program.

The ISBR2027 scientific program is taking shape! The Call for Proposals for Topic-Specific Parallel Sessions and Workshops is now open, with submissions due 15 November 2026. Newsletter #2 also unveils the four Plenary Session themes and invites the ISBR community to help shape the program and suggest potential speakers.

ISBR2027 is heading to Bali! Planning for the 18^th ISBR Symposium is underway, with the event coming to Southeast Asia for the first time in Q4 2027. The new Symposium theme and program format are introduced, along with upcoming opportunities to propose sessions and workshops, submit abstracts, and apply for student scholarships.
