Our pre and post  tours are now available to all ISBGMO 2014 delegates together with their accompanying persons and families, which now have the opportunity to enjoy the excellent climate, dazzling sunshine, wild life and breathtaking scenery of Cape Town and surroundings.

ITINERARY:

Boasting magnificent natural beauty, cultural diversity and warm friendly locals, Cape Town is one of the most magnificent cities in the world.  From picturesque beaches to the lush rolling hills of wine country, to world famous botanical gardens and breathtaking mountain rangers, Cape Town offers a memorable experience for all holiday makers.

Day 1:  City Tour and Table Mountain

Pre Tour: This morning you will be met at the Cape Town International Airport and transferred to the hotel. Be ready for an afternoon pick up to explore the popular Cape Town attractions. From the natural beauty of the Company Gardens, to the historical sites of the Castle of Good Hope, the South African Museum and the Traditional Bo-Kaap Malay Quarter, the City Tour offers the perfect fusion of exploration, education and adventure. Enjoy the trip to the top of Table Mountain, via the cable car.  (weather permitting). Finally, end the day exploring the world famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 2:  Cape Peninsula Tour

Travel along Cape Town’s coastal mountain passes, from Clifton though Chapman’s Peak and into Hout Bay. Here, a boat ride to view a seal colony on Duiker Island is optional. Travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at Cape Point, and visit a colony of penguins at Boulders Beach, en route to Simon’s Town. Due to time constraints, travelers can choose between an excursion to either the esteemed Kistenbosch Botanical Gardens or the popular wine estate Groot Constantia.

Day 3:  Winelands Tour

Travel through the spectacular mountain scenery and lush fertile valleys of the Cape Winelands and visit a selection of wine estates along the 3 main wine routes of Stellenbosh, Franchhoek and Paarl. Two wine tasting sessions of 4-5 wines per session are included within the tour, with a cellar tour, to view the winemaking process.
Overnight Cape Town Hotel – bed and breakfast.

Day 4:  Transfer to Cape Town International Airport

Post tour:  Transfer to Cape Town International Airport to connect with flight home.

 
CAPE SAFARI, WINE & WHALES (4DAYS/3NIGHTS)

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Inverdoorn Game Reserve

Only two and half hours from Cape Town in South Africa, the Inverdoorn Game Reserve offers a perfect adventure for travelers. 10 000 hectares are home to over 1200 free roaming animals, the famous Big Five; lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. With an acute focus on conservation, Inverdoorn Game Reserve runs the Western Cape Cheetah Conservation program, which aims to rehabilitate, rescue cheetahs and release them back into the wild. Welcome drinks are followed by a two and a half hour long guided game drive in an open-air 4x4. Lunch is served under the trees - weather permitting, and time is then spent at leisure.  In the afternoon continue to the winelands region of Stellenbosch where you will overnight.

Day 2: Winelands Tour

Day 3:  Whale Route Tour

Each year, between the months between August and November, southern right whales, migrate to the coastal waters of the Cape to nurse and calve their young. Travel along one of Cape Town’s breathtaking coastal routes  to the seaside village of Hermanus, where southern right whales can be viewed mere meters from the shore. The tour includes a Whale Cruise Tour, an additional 2-3 hour boat-based excursion.  Overnight in this quaint little town.

Day 4:  Transfer to Cape Town International Airport

After breakfast we depart from Hermanus. We include a stopover at the Harold Porter Botanical Garden,  drop off at the Cape Town International Airport to connect with a flight home.

ITINERARY:

From the mountainous beauty and lush valleys of the Western Cape to the arid conditions of the Klein Karoo, travel along the Garden Route for a spectacular 4-day holiday experience. Visit popular travel destinations such as Oudtshoorn, George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay as well as points of interest; the world famous Cango Caves, Tsitsikamma Forest, game drive at the Botlierskop Private Game Reserve and a sunset cruise along the Knysna Lagoon

Day 1:  Cape Town/Oudsthoorn

Travel via Worcester, Montagu & Calitzdorp (Route 62) to Oudtshoorn. Visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch and the Cango Caves. 
Overnight Oudsthoorn Hotel-  dinner bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Outdsthoorn/George

Following breakfast, visit a well known ostrich show farm in Oudsthoorn. Travel along the scenic Outeniqua Pass to George, and visit Botlierskop Private Game Reserve near Mossel Bay for lunch and a 3-hour game drive.                                                                
Overnight Knysna Hotel – dinner bed and breakfast.

Day 3: Knysna/Plettenberg Bay

Explore the seaside village of Knysna and surrounds, Plettenberg Bay, Nature’s Valley, etc. Enjoy a leisurely sunset cruise and dinner aboard the Paddle Cruiser on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 4: Mossel Bay/ Cape Town 

Return to Cape Town via Mossel Bay & Swellendam arriving at approximately 17h00.

 

KRUGER PARK SAFARI TOUR (4DAYS/3NIGHTS)

ITINERARY:
Travel along the Panorama Route including the sights of God’s Window and Pilgrim’s Rest, en route to the world famous Kruger National Park.  View Africa’s Big 5, lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, through early morning game drives and exciting night game drives.

Day 1:  Johannesburg/Kruger National Park
Depart from Johannesburg in an air-conditioned mini-bus to Kruger Park via the Panorama Route, including the sights of God’s Window, Pilgrim’s Rest, Graskop and magnificent waterfalls on the edge of the escarpment. Lunch is enjoyed en route to the Kruger National Park. Following arrival and time for refreshment, embark on an exciting night game drive in the Park to view some of the elusive nocturnal activities of the Kruger National Park’s famed wildlife. Upon returning to the lodge, a buffet dinner is served at the restaurant. 
 
Day 2 /3:  Kruger National Park
The day commences with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast. Thereafter, depart on a mid-morning game drive that travels deeper into the Park to try and spot the remarkable species of game that the Park is famous for. Depending on the route taken, stop for lunch at one of the rest-camps inside the Park. Thereafter, depart on an afternoon game drive in the direction of the lodge, and return in the late afternoon. Enjoy dinner at the restaurant.

Day 4:  Kruger National Park/Johannesburg

Depart for the last early morning game drive in the Kruger National Park. Following breakfast, embark on a mid-morning game drive, before departing for Johannesburg. Enjoy lunch en route and arrive in Johannesburg in the late afternoon. Drop off at the OR Tambo International Airport.
